Our blog’s on hold until after the general election
We hope you’ve all enjoyed our blog over the last few weeks and we’ll be back keeping you up to date with all things Ordnance Survey in May. If you’re wondering why – now that the general election has been called we need to follow the Civil Service Code.
You can still comment on our existing blog posts, but we won’t be adding any new posts for you. Thanks for all your input so far and we’ll be blogging again in no time.

I was surprised that you are still civil servants and this have to follow the code. I thought you were an executive agency, reporting to a chief executive rather than a minster.
We’re all Civil Servants and while we do indeed have a Chief Executive, we’re also still accountable to a Minister. The guidance for the blog and our other communications, came down from the Cabinet Office, but we’re taking the time out as a chance to prepare some (hopefully) exciting and interesting content. All being well we’ll be back up and running on 10 May, and if there is anything you’d like to see us cover, please let me know.
