Putting castles on the map with our latest quiz
We’ve been talking about our Royal Family a great deal this week, with the Diamond Jubilee weekend about to take place. This got me thinking about royal residences, all of which need to be captured and added to our master map of Great Britain. From Windsor Castle to Balmoral, all of their data needs to be captured and forms a part of the 450 million features contained within our most detailed mapping, OS MasterMap.
For today’s quiz, I thought the royal residences may be a little too easy for you, so we’ll be testing your knowledge of homes fit for royalty instead. Some of the eight castles featured below do have links to royalty – you can get bonus points if you know which ones. Post your answers on the blog and we’ll let you know how you’re getting on.
