So, to celebrate St Andrew’s Day, we have a historical map extract of an area in Scotland. Can you tell us what stands on this spot today?

Have you ever looked at a map of the area you lived in and wondered what it used to look like? Historical mapping can often answer that question, and the continued interest in historical mapping pays testament to the number of people who want to answer that question.

There are a number of ways to access historical mapping, we have not held any historical maps since 2008, as part of our preparations to move to our new head offices. However, we do still sell a limited reproduction range of 1 inch to 1 mile maps (revised from the late 1800s and published in the early years of the 1900s). We also offer various historical products produced by our licensed partners from our Historical Maps section of our online map shop.
