Walk of the week: Long Mynd Central
This week the walk of the week comes to you from the heart of the Shropshire hills. This area, which is close to the England/Wales border, is famous for its geology and home to some of the oldest rock formations in existence. Enjoy this 8 mile walk in around 2 and a half hours, depending on how often you stop to enjoy the views.

- ‘Starting in Church Stretton you walk up the Carding Milli valley to the waterfall at Light Spout. The route includes the highest point on the Mynd at Pole Bank. An alpine path takes you down into Small Batch valley and there is an attractive return foothpath along the base of the hill.’
